Dr Chew-Lin Yip is a urologist and robotic surgeon practising across Perth’s south metropolitan region, with a clinical focus on prostate cancer and the surgical management of benign prostate enlargement.

He founded Peel Urology Group and consults in Mandurah, Murdoch and Rockingham. He operates at Peel Health Campus, St John of God Murdoch and Hollywood Private Hospital, and holds a public appointment at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

His prostate cancer practice includes a range of treatment options, allowing treatment to be matched to each man’s disease and priorities. Options include robotic radical prostatectomy, permanent seed brachytherapy and, for carefully selected patients, focal therapy aimed at the identified cancer while leaving the remainder of the prostate untreated.

For benign prostatic enlargement he offers minimally invasive day-case treatments including Rezūm and UroLift, alongside conventional prostate surgery, with treatment matched to the size of the prostate and the severity of symptoms.

A raised PSA does not by itself confirm prostate cancer. Assessment may include repeat PSA testing, examination, prostate MRI and biopsy, depending on your circumstances.

Dr Yip performs vasectomy under general anaesthesia. Suitability, the procedure, possible complications, recovery and the semen test required before relying on vasectomy for contraception are discussed during consultation.

He maintains a general urology practice covering kidney stones, haematuria, bladder problems and vasectomy.
